I liked Jon Stewart's comment that comedy shouldn't have to be an act of courage. But I really hate it that some newspapers decided that they would not run copies of the cartoons. That is pure cowardice and it can only encourage the next terrorist by showing them that acts of terror are effective.
Apparently the NY Times didn't print any of those cartoons. The good news is that they are now getting distributed more widely than ever. Charlie Hebdo has received outside funding, and plans to continue publishing, and printing more copies than ever before.
