Trump considers himself to be a...That's right.

Trump considers himself to be a genius. It there's something he didn't know, it's obvious (to him) that nobody else knew it. And this is what makes him so dangerous. He is ignorant on the affairs of state, and he thinks that he can solve all the world's problems by simply telling others what to do.

China is a good example. He's already practically ceded the Asian-Pacific economic region to domination by the Chinese because of his insistence on dismantling our agreements and economic ties. Meanwhile, he has been bad-mouthing China for a long time. Now he wants to issue an edict to them over North Korea, demanding that they bring the Koreans under control. All this without ever listening to the folks at the State Department, who might just have some good advice for him. But instead, he wants to de-construct the State Department (something that Russia is very happy about).

If I was Xi Jinping, I'd be tempted to tell Trump to stuff it.im-skepticalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08267710618719895303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-221547022510742794.post-44084195564193853982017-04-06T09:20:37.717-07:002017-04-06T09:20:37.717-07:00Trump's new-found abhorrence of Assad is in li...Trump's new-found abhorrence of Assad is in line with a number of recent epiphanies he's had:

"No one knew health care could be so complicated"
"Most people don't know Lincoln was a Republican!"
"Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is getting recognized more and more, I notice."

Key point here: Notice how he never simply admits to being personally ignorant. He has to imply that "everyone" was ignorant, prior to his discovery of some blatantly obvious fact.Starhopperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18350334327301656588noreply@blogger.com
